Malaysian Maid In Hong Kong Wins RM12 Million Lottery

Citing a China Press story, The Star reported that a Malaysian maid working in Hong Kong had won more than HK$30 million (or RM12 million) in lottery money.

The middle-aged maid is employed at the mansion of casino tycoon Stanley Ho's fourth wife, Angela Leong.

According to her employer's family, the maid purchased a Mark Six lottery ticket on her birthday.

However, Angela Leong was reported saying she was unaware that any of her Malaysian workers had won the lottery.

The maid said she would continue to work as a maid at the mansion as she has for over 10 years as she did not want to part with Angela Leong's eldest daughter, Sabrina Ho Chiu-ying, whom she had cared for since she was a little girl.

Who Says Luck Is Not Important ?

The Star reported a few days ago that a technician in his 30s, from the Klang Valley, has won RM11.66 million in his 1st attempt at the Power Toto 6/55 lotto game.

Although he is a regularly punter of various Toto games, this was his 1st try on Power Toto 6/55.

He went with a friend to claim his winnings at the Sports Toto's head office in Kuala Lumpur.

He said that as he has always invested in shares and unit trust funds, he would now buy properties for himself and each of his family members.

The FIFA World Cup, also called the Football World Cup or the Soccer World Cup, but usually referred to simply as the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the men's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The championship has been awarded every four years since the first tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not contested because of World War II.

Of the 18 World Cups held since, only seven nations have won the title. Brazil have won the World Cup a record 5 times, and they are the only team to have played in every tournament. Italy, the current champions, have won 4 titles, and Germany are next with 3 titles. The other former champions are Uruguay, winners of the first World Cup tournament, and Argentina, with 2 titles each. England and France, both won one title each.

Boy Loses RM8mil In Gambling

This picture is for illustration only

A 19 year old boy lost a total RM8 million within 3 years gambling online. The boy who is a millionaire's son started gambling since he was 16 reported the Star.

The teenager allegedly learned this habit from his father’s and ended up losing millions in football bets over the Internet.

He was such a big gambler that he came to be known as the "Little Dragon".

Apparently the boy started to gamble after gambling agents gave him a RM100,000 credit line. Each time he lost money, his father would pay off his debts. Over three years, his father has bailed him out several times.

The boy who was pursuing an Australian degree programme at a local college had on many occasions used college fees to settle his debts and extend his line of credit with the bookies.

Agents for bookies solicited bets from teenagers from rich families. These agents would go to expensive private colleges looking for students from rich families as customers.

First Singapore Casino Opens - The Resorts World Sentosa

Singapore's first casino, the Resorts World Sentosa, opened for business yesterday, coinciding with the Chinese New Year - which is considered the most auspicious day in the Chinese lunar calendar.

The casino opened on Sunday at 12:18 p.m. - a symbolically lucky time for the Chinese accompanied by a traditional lion dance.

The casino's Universal Studios theme park is scheduled to be opened by April this year.

The multi billion dollar Resorts World Sentosa, built by Malaysia's Genting Group, is one of 2 casinos permitted to operate in Singapore. Singapore's other casino, the Marina Bay Sands, owned by the Las Vegas Sands, will open for business sometime in May.

To discourage Singaporeans from gambling, all Singaporeans and permanent residents must pay an admission free of SG$100 a day or SG$2,000 a year to enter the casino, but foreigners can enter free.

Resorts World Sentosa also prohibits those under 21 years old, on welfare, bankrupts, those with gambling addiction, or criminals for entering the casino.

4D Lucky Fish

Picture from asiaone

Magnum 4D, Sports Toto, and Da Ma Cai punters' latest strategy in attracting luck is not in rearing the blood parrot fish (locally called feng shui fish), or the flowerhorn, but in the "4D fish".

Malaysian and Singaporean 4D lottery punters have been rearing 4D fish to forecast the winning 4D numbers. These molly fish, imported from Thailand and introduced early last year, have a single-digit number (from 0 to 9) tattooed their bodies.

Customers apparently buy 4 fish which were tattooed with his own lucky numbers. Some just buy 4 fish with random numbers. These punters are hoping that by watching the fish swim, the winning combination at the weekly Magnum 4D, Toto, and Da Ma Cai draw would emerge . Each 4D fish costs RM7 and the tattoo can last up to 4 months.

I can imagine Malaysians sitting at home patiently watching the 4D fish swim round and round the acquirium while writing down what they think would be the winning 4D numbers.

An ornamental fish retailer said that mollys are easy and cheap to look after. They are not fussy eaters or sensitive to the water quality and temprature. All you need is a small aquarium with basic apparatus.

I believe that as most customers who bought the 4D fish were hoping that the fish would bring them luck and had no genuine interest in rearing fish, they would neglact the fish should they not win anything in the lottery. In Asia, people will even rear cockroaches if they can be persuaded that cockroaches can bring luck.

3D Da Ma Chai Results

Da Ma Chai | Pan Malaysian Pools - Latest Results

Da Ma Chai by Pan Malaysian Pools is a type of Malaysian lottery drawn a few times weekly.

Pan Malaysian Pools Sdn. Bhd.(PMP), was incorporated in Malaysia on 4th 1988. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tanjong PLC.

Its main business is conducting and managing Numbers Forecast business.

Pan Malaysian Pools is the sole agent of Lembaga Totalisator Malaysia conducting 3D and 1+3D forecast games.

The Holding Company

Tanjong PLC was incorporated in the UK on 2nd January 1926 as the Tanjong Tin Dredging Limited. The name of the company was changed to Tanjong public limited company in 1991.

Tanjong shares were listed on both the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad) and the London Stock Exchange plc on 24 December 1991.

Da Ma Chai numbers game is similar to that started and played mostly in neighborhoods in U.S. cities. To win, the bettor pick three or four digits to match those which will be randomly drawn the following day. The gambler places his or her bet with a bookie or agent. In those days, a runner has to carry the money and betting slips between the bettor and the headquarters. Today, everything is computerised. The results are available online in a short time.

There are now even some websites online providing free winning number predictions for Damachai punters. Many Malaysians are addicted to "buying numbers" before every Da Ma Chai draw. I've seen people selling software to predict Da Ma Chai winning numbers being sold on Lelong.Com for as little as RM50.

Before every draw the Da Ma Chai outlets will be packed with punters placing their bets hoping to win something. Outside these Da Ma Chai outlets are people selling all kinds of things, from lucky charms and amulets, to pirated DVDs.

Damachai business is always booming especially in working class neighborhoods.
