According to news reports, a kuala lumpur tailor claimed she sustained losses of RM100,000 after allegedly being cheated by a man 3 years ago. The man whom she believed worked with the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council promised that he could assist her to acquire a piece of land and convert its status from private to commercial for the purpose of setting up a building for her tailoring business.
She lodged a report pertaining to the matter at the Ampang police headquarters last year after the man who took her money cannot be contacted and the promised land deal did not turn out as expected.
