This car is among four others that suffered major damages when hit by a boulder at Wangsa Heights, Bukit Antarabangsa, Kuala Lumpur.
I don't know in cases like this, if the motor insurance will compensate the car owner for his loss.

How To Sell A Fake RM10 Rolex For RM10,000
A group of con artists in Johor Baru convince its victims to buy itmes below market value. One of the victims, a lawyer in her 30s, was sold a fake Rolex for RM10,000.
According to the Star, the lawyer was approached by a man claiming to be a foreigner under the pretext of asking for directions.
The man then told the lawyer that he has about 30 mobile phone, each valued at RM3,000, for sale at Rm1,000 each. Then, two other men (accomplices) joined the conversation on the pretext of wanting to know about the mobile phones.
The first man then showed them a Rolex watch which he said was valued at Rm10,000 - this was "verified" by one of the accomplices who apparently took it to a nearby watch shop to for valuation. The lawyer then bought the fake Rolex for Rm10,000.
I was approached a few times by foreigners (they looked like illegal Indonesian immigrants) outside the bank who offered to sell me "stolen" original luxury watches at below market prices - they said they just wanted to clear stock fast. When they showed me their samples wrapped in pieces of cloth, the watches definitely looked fake to me.

Ikan Puyu - The Mystical Fish
I was browsing Yahoo Answers and I noticed a rather unusual question. Im posting the entire question and answer verbatim here:
And the answer given was:
In mystical arts, the climbing perch (puyu) is seen as a fish that dwells in two realms (which makes it unique) and it has the ability to live without water for days (if in a proper environment) which is quite symbolic for certain qualities which humans don't have (as fishes are supposed to be dependent on water, humans are dependent on air, but in the case of this fish, it is able to dwell in both realms). These abilities are seen as special and unusual, which is another feature that makes this fish 'special'.
It is said that here are two kinds of uses for these fishes.
(1) It can be used to repel 'pest-like' spirits, those of the 'weaker' kinds. Spirits that can be mischievious such as toyols and certain dwarf-like beings (kerdil). Some versions of this explains that these beings are actually not afraid of the puyu at all, but uses them as 'toys' to play with.
(2) It can also be used to repel demonic spirits, those with grosser bodies (in the case of Djinns) as these beings are said to dislike its sharp bodies.
There's also a third use of these fishes. It can be used as a sacrifice for removal of cursed objects (santau) by transferring those objects into the body of those fishes (though it is not commonly practiced). Some uses the puyu as a medium to send cursed objects instead.
I guess all races 'accept' these fishes for their uniqueness and attracted to the stories of old rather than having any understanding whatsoever about these fishes. As a matter of fact, not many 'modern' Malaysians know the uses of these fish anymore unless they are being brought up with proper guidance in the old ways. It is more like an adaptation as the climbing perch is a native only to Southeast Asian countries and can also be found throughout Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma, parts of Indonesia and Borneo...
These fishes have NO 'mystical' powers of its own without any 'divine' assistance and usually it has to be done with proper conjurations and spells. Black magic is a term referred to certain practices which involves darker intentions of one's practice. In reality, there is no such thing as 'black' or 'white' magic. The intention of one's heart determines the cause and effect of its spells. Through the powers of these spells, certain beings are being used to 'work' for a particular person (eg. witchdoctors/bomoh), and thus the climbing perch is used for the purposes as mentioned earlier above.
Hope this helps...
I do not wish to make this too lengthy, but basically mention the 'idea' about keeping these fishes for the purpose of 'preventing' black magic.

The ikan Puyu is also called ikan Betuk in malay. And in English, it is called the Climbing Perch (Anabas Testudineus). The ikan Puyu is a common fresh water fish in Asia. It is a very hardy and unusual fish. During the drought, it has the ability to aestivate (hibernate) in the mud and emerge during a more favourable period.
Whilst I do not know about its mystical powers, what I do know is that the ikan Puyu is an important source of protein amongst the villages. The ikan Puyu are also kept as pets and help keep the mosquito population in check.
Give me some feedback guys, what do you know about the Puyu fish ?
"Why almost every race in Malaysia believed that ikan puyu has a mystical power? and that fish are capable of fighting black magic from entering the owner house"

Money, Money, Money !
The Star reported that RM1.2 million cash was found in a Subang gym locker. That was how much money a supervisor of the gym found in a bag in one of the lockers when the gym closed for the day at around midnight. He then contacted his manager, who in turn contacted the police. RM1.2 million is not a few lose change, mind you. Who would bring RM1.2 cash to a gym and then "forget" to bring it back home ?
Initially the police linked this money to the KL International Airport heist on April 9, where two moneychangers were robbed of RM3.5mil. However, the KLIA heist was in Singapore dollars, whereas the RM1.2 found in the gym in Subang was in Malaysian Ringgit.
If the gym supervisor and manager were this honest, they sould be elected to public office.
What would you do if you found RM1.2 million in cash ?
a) surrender everything to the police
b) take some money and surrender the balance to the police
c) take all the money and hide it somewhere
d) take all the money and take the first flight out of the country

Bogel Gambar
The popular search term on Google for "Nude Pictures" literally translated to Bahasa Malayu is Bogel Gambar not the correct translated Bahasa Malayu term Gambar Bogel. Bogel = Nude , and Gambar = Pictures. Anyway, there are approximately 80,000 searches on Goggle for the term Bogel Gambar just as I am typing this - that's a lot of searches for Bogel Gambar. The strange thing is that the correct Bahasa Melayu term Gambar Bogel has only about 1,000 searches.
I wonder who will be interested in searching for the term Bogel Gambar ? ;)
By the way, the above is a picture of a Bonsai tree which looks like a Bogel Gambar.
Ok. Please make you comments.

Rempit Motor Orang Asli Filipina
Is this the Filipino version our rempit motor or mat rempit ?
The picture shows Igorot tribesman, Robert Duyugan, riding his wooden cap chai motorbike in a race, in the Filipino town of Banaue, as it celebrates the traditional Imbayah festival.
At least the Imbayah festival in the Philippines is an annual event. The Malaysian mat rempit festival is a weekly event held in all major towns in the country.
What do you think, guys ? Should our mat rempit or rempit motor be given wooden motorbikes ?

A Mercedes Is Not Enough !
It is well known that protected animals in Malaysia are being hunted for their meat, hide, tusks etc for alleged medicinal purposes- in other words, the animals will end up dead.
Recently, however, it was reported in the Star that powerful towkays in Sarawak are buying endangered animals to be kept as pets.
Middlemen pay native trappers handsomely to capture these animals alive which are then sold in the black market, as demand has apparently increased in Sarawak.
The rich towkays display these exotic animals such as bears, rare monkeys, birds and reptiles in their homes as status symbols.
A private farm was reported to have a variety of animals including macaques and gibbons. Even sun bears were available.
Just as the famous psychologist Abraham Maslow said, humans strive to achieve a hierarchy of needs, in life. When basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, safety etc are satisfied, people will pursue other goals - needs. In this day and age, money is pursued to fullfill these needs. Therefore when someone pursues money, he or she is not pursuing money per se but money to purchase goods and services to fulfill these needs that Maslow's theory describes. To Maslow, esteem needs - the need for respect ranks 2nd highest in his hierarchy of needs. These towkays are purchasing these animals to get status (respect) - they are therefore purchasing respect. Is it because they feel that they don't have enough of it ?

Who Will Be Malaysia's Next Prime Minister ?
Is it RAHMAN or ANWAR ?
Are Malaysians caught up in the past and the future, forgetting the present ? Are Malaysians caught in a time warp ?
Dr. Mahathir Mohammad, Malaysia's 4th Prime Minister, whether we like it or not, represents Malaysia's past. All his deeds, or to some, his misdeeds, when he was prime minister, were all done in the past. Although he is indeed an icon of Malaysia's public life, he does not represent the present or the future. Just like whatever benefits derived from his leadership is enjoyed in the present, anything he has done that must to be corrected must also be done in the present.
Abdullah Badawi, Malaysian's 5th Prime Minister, represents Malaysia's present. We may not know how long this will be, but he is still the current prime minister - he must deal with the present.
But instead of focusing on the present, Malaysians like dwelling on the past and speculating on the future - who will be the next prime minister. This has been going on since Dr. Mahathir Mohammad's tenure - then, Malaysians were guessing as to who will succeed Dr. Mahathir Mohammad. Whilst many names were suggested, Tengku Razaleigh and Anwar Ibrahim were the favorites. But then, unexpectedly, Abdullah Badawi succeeded Dr. Mahathir Mohammad.
In attempting to predict the future, Malaysians like to device theories, not based on political analysis, but on myths.
For the simple minded, the classic RAHMAN theory, named after the country's first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman, became very popular. The theory simply states that RAHMAN is an acronym for the names of the prime minsters of Malaysia:
R - Tunku Abdul Rahman
A- Abdul Razak
H - Hussein Onn
M - Mahathir Mohammad
A- Abdullah Badawi
N - ?
Thus, following the RAHMAN theory the next person in line should be a person who's name starts with the letter "N". Those who believe this theory will quickly say that the next in line should be Najib Tun Razak, the current deputy prime minster. However, some people joked that the "N" stands for Nurul Izzah, Anwar Ibrahim's 27 year-old daughter who recently won the Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat.
When Dr. Mahathir Mohammad was prime minister, many Malaysians believed that the letter "A" after the letter "M" in RAHMAN, represented Anwar Ibrahim, who was then the deputy prime minister. Well, now we know that was not meant to be, then.
Now, as Anwar Ibrahim's Pakatan Rakyat has won a very convincing victory in the recent general election, he is seen as the prime minister in waiting and people have conceived another acronym to represent the prime ministers of Malaysia - ANWAR:
A - Abdullah Badawi
N - Najib Tun Razak
W -Wan Azizah (Anwar Ibrahim's wife and current official leader of Pakatan Rakyat)
A - Anwar Ibrahim
R - (Tengku) Razaleigh Hamzah ? Dr. Rais Yatim ?
Some people even suggest that the "R" stands for Raja Petra Kamarudin, a political analyst whose political blog Malaysia Today, played a significant role in the outcome of the recent general election.
Ok guys, what do you think ? RAHMAN or ANWAR ? or post your own acronym theory...
Please post your comments let us know what you think.

Sufiah Likes Being A Prostitute
Sufiah Yusof (aka Shilpa Lee), the maths genius from Oxford, who chose prostitution as a career says that she likes being a prostitute.
She told the British tabloid the News Of The World that, "People think escorting is sleazy and terrible but I don't see it like that."
"I've always had a high sex drive—and now I'm getting all the sex I want—and guys are much better in bed with an escort than a girlfriend", she was reported saying.
Sufiah who claims to have sold her body for up to £1,000 (RM6,400) a time, said that she has a nice life and the popular belief that escorts are being exploited are not true.
"My clients treat me like a princess. One guy I see in London took me shopping on Bond Street. He bought me a beautiful black Gucci dress for £700 and then took me to Selfridges and told me to pick any handbag I liked", she was quoted saying.
The tabloid reported that previously Sufiah was earning £ 16,000 (RM102,400) a year in Manchester working as an administrative assistant. She had debts of £3,500 (RM22,400) in rent arrears and credit cards.
She said she first considered being an escort after she was approached by an escort agency boss in a bar four months ago. She then went home and researched escort agencies on the internet and when she found one she thought looked professional, she sent them photographs and she was featured on their site. Sufiah then got her first client a few days later. Her first client, she said, was in his late 20s, tall and handsome - "I can't believe I'm getting paid to have sex with this man" she said.
Although she has been offered by a client to be his mistress - being given a more luxurious life, she has declined the offer: "But I don't want that because I'm happy doing what I do. Now I wonder if I could go back to a normal relationship, where you watch EastEnders and have boring sex. I've got used to being treated like a princess."

Madam Chong, sought the mediums’ advice on almost everything.
She said she paid over RM1,000 for the mediums to perform prayers annually and in 1994, she spent over RM30,000 for the mediums' prayers' to “protect” her son who was arrested for selling pirated discs. Further, when her daughter was detained by police for a week, she had paid more than RM10,000 to a medium to pray for her daughter's safety.

Malaysian Girl's Virginity Is Worth RM3 Million
A 30 year-old teacher is suing her husband RM3 million over the loss of her virginity.
The teacher filed the suit at the Kuching High Court three weeks ago and also named her parents-in-law for inducing their son to breach the contract of marriage and for the humiliation and mental torture she suffered because of them.
She claimed that her husband (her then, boyfriend) persuaded her to sleep with him, promising to marry her later. She said after sleeping with him, they got registered not long after but they never went through the Chinese customary marriage rites due to objections from her parents-in-law.
In this case, although the couple legally married (registered) , the teacher is claiming that the marriage was not complete without the Chinese customary marriage rites, thus her husband (her then, boyfriend) did not fulfill his promise in return for her giving up her virginity to him.
Read the full news report here.
As far as I know, there is no legal compulsion to have the Chinese customary marriage rites, church ceremony, temple ceremony etc in addition to the registration of marriage, for a marriage to be binding. For non Muslims, the registration of marriage alone makes a marriage binding, all other customary or religious marriage rites are merely optional.

Don't Fcuk Around With Kua Beng Hock
Kua Beng Hock fought in court and won a RM300 traffic offence case.
In most cases, someone who has been issued with a traffic summons would have just paid the compound fine and forgotten about it. This however was not the attitude of 69 year-old Kua Beng Hock.
Kua, a retired teacher, disputed the matter and represented himself in court (without a lawyer) until he won the case, after 4 years.
This case started in 2004, when Kua was given a traffic summons by the police for allegedly driving through a red light but Kua had disputed it because the traffic lights had not been working that day.
Read the full story of gutsy Kua Beng Hock in the Malay Mail.
Have you been unfairly been given a traffic summons by the police ?

Kampung Berembang - The Indonesian Playground
A few restaurants in Kampung Berembang, Ampang have organised themselves into an Indonesian entertainment enclave which host late night parties for Indonesian labourers and factory workers who live in the vicinity. Apparently, these restaurants serve as karaoke and dance halls for the Indonesian foreign workers who patronise these restaurants to dance, gamble and take drugs. From this, it appears that DBKL has been quite liberal in enforcing local entertainment regulations in Kampung Berembang.
According to Harian Metro, what is more puzzling is how some of these Indonesians have managed to acquire the privilege of staying, rent free, in housing provided by the government specially meant for poor Malaysian citizens.

Ian Lee Nearly Died After Taking "China Viagra"
The Malaysian National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau has issued a warning to men not to consume the sexual enhancement drug Power 1 Walnut.
The product, commonly also known as the "China Viagra", is believed to have been smuggled into Malaysia from China and has been detected with the poisons - glibenclamide and sildenafil.
Consuming the drug can cause hypoglycemia (very low blood sugar levels) and if untreated in time, could lead to unconsciousness, seizures and even death.
In February this year it was reported in the press that Ian Lee, 47, a Singaporean, nearly died after taking this "China Viagra".
Be careful, apparently Power 1 Walnut products are also repackaged and sold using different names (most claiming to be 100% herbal products), to disguise its actual contents.

Will Sufiah Yusof (aka Shilpa Lee), the math genius turned prostitute, end up like the legendary porn actress Asia Carrera (who reportedly performed in approximately 400 hundred sex films in her career) ?
Both Asia Carrera and Sufiah Yusof were child geniuses who got involved in the sex industry because of family problems.
Asia Carrera was born in New York City to a Japanese father and German mother.
She studied piano as a child, and performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall twice before the age of 15. By 16 she taught English at Tsuruga College in Japan.
She ran away from home when she was 17 apparently because her parents put too much pressure on her to succeed academically.
Asia Carrera was a state spelling champ, she was in the National Mathematics League and was also a Spanish National Honor Society member, who won placing in National Geography, Language and Math Olympiads.
For her high IQ, Asia Carrera was admitted as a member of MENSA.
She subsequently won a full academic scholarship to Rutgers University.
This is what Asia Carrera says about her life and why she became a porn actress - read this.
Watch the documentary (Broken Dreams) about Asian Carrera on YouTube - part1 and part2.

WTF Is A. Sivasubramaniam Who Resigned ?
Who is A. Sivasubramaniam ? Prior to yesterdays news, he was just another Malaysian, to many. Although he has been recently elected the assemblyman for Buntong - not many knew him, and not many cared.
People were only excited at the opposition coalition forming the new government in Perak.
This is A. Sivasubramaniam, the DAP assemblyman for Buntong, who resigned from the DAP, then retracted his resignation yesterday, as reported in the Star.
The reasons he gave for his resignation was that he had lost confidence in the Perak DAP, as he claimed has failed to fulfill its promise to appoint two Indian state executive council members.
By his action, A. Sivasubramaniam appears to imply that:
1. he is special and that the DAP won the Buntong state seat because of his special merits. In other words, no other candidate from the DAP could have stood in Buntong and won.
2. he could have won even if he stood as an independant candidate in Buntong.
3. the Chinese and Malays who voted for him are not important.
4. that the other elected representative in the opposition coalition are incompetent to protect the rights of the Indian community. In other words, only Indians can protect the rights of Indians.
5. without the two Indian state executive council members, Indian rights in Perak are not protected.
Note that the voters in Buntong (whilst predominantly Indians)had previously voted for MCA's Datuk Yik Pooi Hong (a Chinese) for three terms. This is the first time A. Sivasubramaniam is given the opportunity by the voters in Buntong, to represent them as an assemblyman, because they are simply fed-up with the BN.
From this point of view, it appears that the Buntong voters don't really care about the race of the candidates they voted for; they voted for the party. This time, having been fed-up with the BN, Buntong voters would have voted for any candidate selected by the opposition coalition, be it a Chinese, Malay or an Indian - and the lucky candidate selected by the opposition just happened to be A. Sivasubramaniam. This appears to be his secret of success in Buntong.
Why is A. Sivasubramaniam making race an issue when the people who voted for him are not particularly concerned about that ? This is a mystery only A. Sivasubramaniam himself can reveal, with presumably some guided inspiration.
Maybe in future, should A. Sivasubramaniam prove his significance to Malaysians (given the opportunity he now has in Buntong), he will then become known for the right merits and the current perception of him attempting "the katak" - the frog, will thus stand corrected. In politics, perception is everything. And Malaysians "tidak mudah lupa" - never forget easily.
This post is not intended to offend anyone. It is just my two cents.
